# Versions

The TSMP2 workflow engine (WFE) uses semantic versioning. Each WFE version is bound to one TSMP2 version (submodule `src/TSMP2`) and, in turn, to specific component model versions. Namelists (`nml/`) and static fields (`dta/geo/`) of a WFE version are consistent with these component model versions. For example, the OASIS coupling fields in `nml/oasis` require the matching ICON and eCLM versions.
